Cat Abandoned On Street Corner With His Litter Box
This one-year-old cat and all of his possessions were dumped on the streets of Brooklyn, New York, last Wednesday. He was discovered sitting next to the few items he had left, a litter box, a cushion, and some other cat supplies, feeling lost and confused.
The cat, subsequently given the name Nostrand after the street where he was found abandoned, fled shortly after being discovered when he was startled by a street sweeper. The neighborhood came together to search for him.
Nostrand was located in a backyard after a few days of searching. Flatbush Area Team for Cats (FAT Cats) said on Facebook, “We immediately brought him to get vetted, and checked for a microchip.” The cat wasn’t microchipped, but the inspection revealed that he was in excellent condition and was a “dream.” Elizabeth Champ, one of the FAT Cats founders, told The Dodo that “[He] didn’t even mind having blood extracted for testing.”
With FAT Cats, Nostrand is now in capable hands. He will start seeking for his permanent home after being neutered, which fortunately shouldn’t be an issue because several people have already asked to adopt him.
He “was crying next to his belongings” in the streets of Brookyn
Scared of a street sweeper, he ran off and was found only after a few days
The cat was rushed to the vet straight away. Not only was he healthy, he was also very obedient!
He has already had several adoption requests, so the sad cat will undoubtedly find a new owner he can trust.
